About Me

    Born and raised in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, I am a third generation Japanese (sansei), with many fond childhood memories of innocently growing up on a large coffee farm, as the third youngest in a family of eight.  My parents provided inspiration and encouraging teachings about family love, the cooperative spirit, team work, honesty, respect for the elders, an appreciation for life and acquiring a "good taste" of what hard work is, by simply setting an outstanding example of it.

     I have enjoyed 32+ INCREDIBLE years in real estate as a full-timer.  Benjamin, my husband of 41+ years, is also in real estate as a part-timer and compliments my work by also servicing my clients.

     We are the proud parents of our son, Ben Jr., an Orthopedic Surgeon at Colorado Springs Air Force Academy, happily married to Mako for 14 years. . . they have 2 handsome sons, Zane and Kai and an Adorable daughter, Ellie.  Our daughter, Pamela, works for the University of Hi Wm. S. Richardson School of Law, as an Admin. & Fiscal Specialist and is also a part-time Realtor; Pam, too, is happily married to Brad for 3+ yrs...just had their 1st child.

     Since 1978, I have been a member of the Million Dollar Club, the Honolulu Board of Realtors, the Hawaii Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and therefore, abide by a strict professional code of ethics.  I am also a member of an elite national organization, the Certified Residential Specialist - Hawaii Chapter (CRS), the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and the Hawaii Developer's Council.

     I feel very fortunate to have achieved various prestigious company awards throughout my real estate career at Luke & Luke Realty, Inc. (1978-1984) and Properties Unlimited, Inc. since 1984.  I received Great Satisfaction as a Project Sales Coordinator where I assisted many first-time and repeat customers accomplish their dream of owning their first home or an upgraded one.  These projects include:  College Gardens, Onikiniki Place Subdivision, Alii Plantation, Laulima ‘O Hawaii Kai, The West Loch Fairways, 1242 Matlock, 614 Captain Cook and Queen’s Villa.

My Working Philosophy"

1.      Having a philosophy of keeping things Open, Direct, and as simple as possible has proven most effective in swiftly resolving any problems that may arise.  One of my daily goals is to “treat everyone who touches my life exactly as I would like to be treated.”  I am never too busy to answer a client’s question or concern.

2.      My reputation is very important to me and I constantly strive to be fair and act professionally to keep it blemish free.  No obstacle is insurmountable in order to ensure a positive result for my clients.

3.      I am a skilled and perceptive listener; a quality that is extremely critical in determining what course of action is needed to help accomplish a client’s real estate objective as quickly as possible.

4.      My clerical background in the accounting field has taught me to become organized and detail-oriented with persistent follow-up to minimize potential problems that may arise and delay a transaction.
